Krzysztof Honowski’s work is concerned with misunderstandings, tangents, agglomerations of information, the re-interpretation of pop cultural iconography - especially the points where it becomes opaque - canons that you used to be able to torrent, playing an accidental part in world history, enthusiasm, deep trash, the collapse of subculture into a hashtag, and the fact that this is all happening now and you can feel it.

Honowski studied at the University of Cambridge, Slade School of Fine Art London, and Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His work has been presented extensively in Europe, including at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, the Ruhrtriennale, the Barbican London, Von der Heydt Museum Wuppertal, Jewish Museum Berlin and Athens Museum of Queer Arts.

Krzystof Honowski lives and works in Cologne and Berlin.
